Free School Meals

The school benefits financially from children being registered, even if they don’t choose to take up the school meals available. The school is therefore proactive in encouraging parents to register, in order to benefit all children.

Clothing Grants

Some parents may be faced with financial difficulties concerning the purchase of clothing for school. The following guide is provided for your assistance and is dependent on level of income and number of children in the family.

Sixth Form Educational Maintenance Grant (EMA)

As part of the national programme students at Halewood Sixth Form Centre can receive EMA payments of up to £30 per week to support them in staying in further education. They also receive bonuses for meeting school set targets. Payment is directly linked to attendance, Sixth Formers who live in Knowsley are also entitled to further support. If they receive EMA they are eligible for grants under the learning support fund and travel grants to enable them to access sixth form provision. If they don’t receive EMA they are entitled to apply for a one off grant of £50 towards the purchase of books and stationary.
